Pastor Gary Washington is celebrating 40 years in ministry! Here are some of the things Pastor Washington has learned over the last forty decades:
This book changed my life this is one of the reasons I am known as a serious preacher.
There was a time I used to fellowship with Pastors that had thousands of members because I thought that will help my church to grow and that it would open doors for me in the media spotlight. My conscious never agreed with their Doctrine, but yet I compromised. I repented of this evil and I will never go back to that error again.
I am separating myself from Ministries and people that say God said when God has not said. The Bible told me to work out my own salvation with fear and trembling. I get so grieved in my spirit when I listen to preachers prophesying New Year's resolutions New Year's of what God is going to do and it never happens for them I've been seeing this for 40 years it is false it is wrong and we must repent or God is going to judge us. I'll listen for about 20 seconds and then I turn them off. I have to listen so I can learn what kind of deception is in the Earth and to warn the lost sheep. This playing church and acting like prophets and apostles must stop or there will be consequences, this is a word from the Lord not just for the new year but for every year. We are giving people false hope some have moved to a different location because of prophecies married the wrong people because of prophecies they have left their church because of false prophecies this foolishness must stop and come to an end.
Anyone who is in the ministry and your conscience is not seared with a hot iron. 1 Tim 4:2 know that what I am saying is the raw truth it is the truth from heaven.
I repented of prophesying to people they are going to be millionaires they are going to have houses and new cars when the Holy Spirit did not tell me that. The Holy Spirit rebuke me and told me that the world seeketh After the treasures of the Earth but seek ye first the kingdom of God. And to lay up my Treasures in Heaven. And that you do not have to be a Christian to receive money and to be successful.
And why I filter out the curse words and sex scenes in rated R movies. And why I refuse to live in adultery. And why I repented of some things after Jesus save me. And why I examine myself before I take Holy Communion. I don't believe in playing Church you're either in or you're out you're either save or you're not saved.
We find listening to music from the 60s and the 70s it's okay. When the people who wrote the music were Servants of Satan and they were being used to seduce people to the world stage. Most of the people who wrote the music were under the influence of drugs and alcohol when they wrote the music. Back in the 60s and 70 the music cause people to burn in their flesh and produce babies out of wedlock. This is why families are dysfunctional and disoriented today because of music and movies of the world which are produced by Satan.
My opinion on motivational speakers, nothing wrong with this if it is a secular job. But it is not apart of the five-fold ministry. It does not perfect the church and has nothing to do with reconciliation and saving people's Souls from hell. Anyone can be rich you don't have to be a Christian to be successful.
This will be my last comment I know it is long but hey it's my 40th anniversary and I'm a preacher and I am long-winded. Lol there are a lot of good people that are Christians and I see a lot of us want to be Prophets we want to be apostles we want to be Bishop but that is not our calling. We prophesied things that God has not shown us because we want to be Prophets. We prophesied people are going to be millionaires this foolishness must stop. Even I am guilty of prophesied things that what's in my flesh I repented of that. Let us stop ordaining people to be Apostle and they are not apostle let us stop ordaining people to be prophets and they are not Prophets. Let us repent and live holy. Let us remain clean or get clean and 2019 thank you I have more maybe I'll put up later.
I think the hypo Grace message is the most devastating false Doctrine of all the times. Telling the people they don't have to do anything Jesus did it all. Even Jesus had to pray and live holy he was tempted in all things. Faith is an action word you live by faith you do something every day to remain pure and clean. Why did Jesus say whoever endures to the end shall be saved. Why did Jesus say if you are lukewarm I will spit you out of my mouth. Why did John the Revelator say God will remove the Candlestick from its place. There are probably a hundred scriptures that teach against once saved always saved.
Christians love to fight Doctrine if you're not baptized in Jesus name you're not saved which was ridiculous some believe in baptizing in the name of the Father Son and the Holy Spirit and people are still fighting over that today. The most important thing is to be baptized in the Holy Ghost and be born again.
Remember the era if you didn't have $100 you didn't get special prayer. That was so painful to watch.
I've been in many revivals and the same people with the same condition got in the prayer line every time. But I believe that God will make us whole if people will repent and be healed once and for all before Jesus returns and there will be no feeble one Among Us.
Remember the laughing in the spirit a lot of people mock that but it was real. I believe God sent that movement because there were so many Christian depressed and oppressed there was so much sadness and a merry heart doeth good like a medicine.
Back in the day, there were no women Bishops and no women apostles but that has changed. I'm not saying I agree or disagree that is something that God will judge and take care of.
Everyone wanted to be an evangelist but not everyone was called to be an evangelist. 40 years ago hardly anyone will call themselves a prophet or an apostle now they are a dime a dozen they're everywhere even people who don't have churches are calling themselves apostles and have never established a church.
I remember the name it and claim it era. But the truth of the matter you had to get an education and work hard in order to achieve things. If you say I laughed so hard I thought it was killing me people will rebuke you. Etc.
At one time the Baptist Church didn't believe in dancing mostly they sing hymns. There wasn't a lot of drums and organ, guitars but now they have Blended in with the Pentecostal and some Pentecostals are calling themselves Baptist to attract more members.
Back in the day preachers wanted you to be filled with the Holy Ghost so bad that they would teach you how to speak in tongues. Even I was guilty of that.
